Why wheat straw?

Wheat straw when harvested leaves behind a stalk that is considered agricultural waste. Farmers usually burn the stalks which causes huge environmental pollution. When wheat straw is used to make plastic it becomes compostable and can decompose in your home compost. How great is that?!
